Reducing fugitive methane emissions for a greener future
Reducing fugitive methane emissions for a greener future
At Carbon Projects, we are dedicated to preventing harmful methane emissions from entering the atmosphere from leaky gas pipelines. We find, measure, and repair natural gas leaks in gas distribution systems to save a valuable commodity from escaping into the atmosphere, which would exacerbate global climate change.

Carbon Projects, along with its implementing partner Climate Compass, has developed a leak reduction project entitled 'Reducing Gas Leakages Within North West and Other Sub-Areas of the Titas Gas Distribution Network In Bangladesh ' that was registered on the 26th of October 2022 under the VERRA Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS 3021).

The project is already issuing credits through the VERRA VCS registry and the rating agency BeZero has given the project an "A" rating putting it into the top 9% of all rated projects.
"A" Rating

The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) has found that the methodology AM0023 v4 used to quantify emission reductions from VCS 3021 is compliant with its Core Carbon Principles (CCP) making this project CCP Label eligible.
